
The grape variety was developed in 1882 by researcher Herman Müller Thurgau from a cross between the Rhine Riesling and Sylvaner varieties.
At the high altitudes where it is cultivated, the grapes ripen slowly imparting to the wines their typical aromatic characteristics. The colour is straw yellow with greenish tints, the aroma fruity and aromatic.
Distinctive, fresh and fruity on the palate.
Food pairings: fish or white meat dishes.
Serving temperature: 12-13°C.
